Jonathan Price brings a rare combination of corporate risk management expertise and real-world crisis response to his role as founding member of It's Just Risk, a specialized risk management consultancy. His career spans over two decades of risk and law enforcement experience, managing complex risk portfolios for some of America's most recognizable brands while serving as a reserve law enforcement officer in Texas.

Corporate Risk Management

Price has built his reputation managing risk for publicly traded companies and private equity-backed organizations, across the full spectrum of enterprise risk—from designing large loss deductible programs to structuring guaranteed cost arrangements that protect against catastrophic financial exposure. He has managed multi-million-dollar claims spanning property damage, general liability, and cyber incidents, hands-on experience that sets him apart from consultants who understand risk in theory but have never navigated an actual crisis.

Industry Leadership

Price has held senior risk management roles at major brands serving millions of customers a year. At Main Event Entertainment, he managed risk across multiple venues where guest safety and property protection are paramount. At Topgolf, he oversaw risk for the sports entertainment concept during a period of rapid national expansion. And at Denny's, he managed risk across a restaurant chain of thousands of locations, where operational consistency and brand protection are critical. That range has given him a clear view of how risk strategy must adapt to different business models, customer interactions, and operating environments.

A Law Enforcement Perspective

What distinguishes Price is his active service as a reserve law enforcement officer in Texas. As Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, he oversees the firm's private equity division and leads broker relations efforts.  His extensive experience encompasses private equity due diligence, M&A risk management,

Laura Cornish is the Vice President of Risk Management at It's Just Risk, where she helps growing companies build strong, scalable risk programs without the cost or complexity of a full-time Risk Manager. She partners with business owners and leadership teams to simplify risk, strengthen operations, and create practical strategies that support growth and long-term stability.

Laura brings more than two decades of experience leading enterprise risk, claims, and litigation strategy across global organizations in hospitality, entertainment, manufacturing, consumer products, and real estate. Before joining It's Just Risk, she served as Vice President of Risk Management for Madison Square Garden Entertainment, Sphere Entertainment Co., and MSG Sports Co., overseeing risk strategy for large-scale construction projects, live event operations, and sports organizations.

Her career includes leadership roles at Lightstone, Honeywell International, Colgate-Palmolive, and Tyco International, where she built and managed global insurance programs and implemented best-practice claim and litigation management frameworks. She also helped establish ClaimVets, a nonprofit dedicated to creating career pathways in claims for U.S. veterans and military spouses.

Laura began her career in a claims role at Liberty Mutual, with progressive advancement at Aetna, AIG, and Marsh before transitioning into risk management — giving her a deep understanding of coverage and risk from both the carrier and corporate perspectives. She is a Certified Litigation Management Professional, a Certified Claims Professional, and a founding faculty member of the CLM Claim College. She has also served on the NY RIMS Chapter Advisory Committee, is a former President of the CLM Northern NJ Chapter, and sits on the Advisory Board for CLM's Retail, Restaurant & Hospitality Committee.
